Calvin Levert

Mr. Calvin Levert, Jr. was born February 27, 1926 in Woodward, AL to the late Calvin and Paralee Moon Levert. Mr. Levert married Helen Lee Levert and four children were born. Mr. Levert dedicated his life to Jehovah, God. He was baptized on July 31, 1954. He was a member of the North Bessemer Congregation. Mr. Levert was employed with Woodard Iron Company for 20 years, until the company closed He was then employed with Birmingham Transit Authority for 18 years until he retired. Life's journey was completed on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Baptist Princeton Hospital in Birmingham, AL at 9:30 a.m. Mr. Levert was predeceased by his wife, Helen Lee Levert. He leaves to cherish his memory: sons, Kelvin Wayne Levert (Mary) Omaha, Nebraska; Darrell Eric Levert, Hueytown, AL; daughters, Laverne Yvette Robinson, Fairfield, AL, Daphne Levert, Brighton, AL; son, Calvin Levert III, Oklahoma City, OK; daughter, Cazinave McCord, Oklahoma City, OK; one brother, Nathaniel Levert (Doret) California; four sisters, Kathy Reid, Cleveland, OH, Lillie Levert, Brighton, AL, Annette Jones, Bessemer, AL and Mary Frances Pearson, North Carolina; sister-in-laws, Eunice Levert, North Carolina, Kathy Levert, North Carolina and Annie Mae Gray, Brighton, AL; five grandchildren, Kellessa Williams, Monique Donell'e Robinson, Ashley Renae Levert, Carl Robinson, Jr., Courtney Dawkins; two great grandchildren, Katelyn Monique Williams, Cameron Michael Dawkins and a host of nieces and nephews and numerous other relatives and dear friends.
