Britney was born to Cedric Perkins and Camilla Hill on July 16, 1989, in Birmingham, Alabama. She shared her childhood with two siblings, Quinton and the late Courtney.
From an early age, her nurturing, caring spirit was obvious to everyone who encountered her and her generosity. She met her husband, Benjamin (Ben) Jones, and they were married March 12, 2016. To their union, they welcomed daughters, Gianah and Skylar.
As a young girl, Britney attended Greenwood Elementary School and Bessemer Academy. While at Bessemer Academy, Britney was an avid athlete. She excelled in varsity basketball, track, field, and cheerleading. Although she was a star in many sports, Britney loved participating in beauty pageants and had a flair for fashion. One highlight of her modeling career was working with Ms. Cynthia Bailey. Soon after graduating from Bessemer Academy, Britney attended Jefferson State Community College where she earned an associate degree. She furthered her education at The University of Alabama where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. After her time in Capstone, she attended the Birmingham School of Law and began working at the Jefferson County Courthouse under the mentorship of Judge Annetta Verin as Judicial Assistant. Atfer her tenure with the courts,, Britney served as an Office Coordinator for Morris Bart & Associates until her untimely passing.
Britney was a member of the Social Sister Sircle (SSS) which primary focus is to lift up others. She volunteered her time serving the community by taking bags of food to the less fortunate. She did not look down on anyone, she built them up, always taking the time to provide money or food for the homeless to help them survive.
Britney was very devoted and caring to everyone she met. She was a shining light and the glue that held the family together. She was a devoted wife and an amazing mother. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, and spending time with family and friends. Overall, Britney was truly a loving and compassionate person who always strived to be as flawless as possible. She provided a template for us to model.
Britney leaves to cherish her sweet memories: her loving husband, Benjamin; daughters, Gianah and Skylar; parents, Cedric Perkins and Camille Hill; brother, Quinton (Irene) Hill; grandparents, Mildred Hill, Bobby and Annie Perkins; nephews, Kevin and Ashton; aunt, Sandra (Allison) Perry; uncles, Mark Perkins, Vincent (Connie) Perkins and Larry (Michelle) Hill and a host of cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
