Brenda Faye Booker was born April 06, 1952 to the late Charlie Jones and Juanita Booker Greene in Bessemer, Al.
Brenda gave her life to Christ at an early age. She joined First Baptist Ninth Street Baptist Church under the pastorate of the Late Reverend King and continued her membership under the leadership of Reverend Phillip Williams until her health failed.
Brenda proudly attended G.W. Carver High School where she was an active member of the Class of 1970. She was a member of the marching band where she was a Marvelous Majorette.
She was employed throughout the city of Bessemer and Birmingham as a soulful and dynamic cook. Brenda spent many of her youthful years as passionate caregiver throughout Jefferson County.
Brenda was known as the matriarch of her family. Brenda loved shopping at consignment shops, feeding the neighborhood, and being an active listener to display her affection and acts kindness.
Brenda departed her this earthly life surrounded by her family on Tuesday August 07, 2018. She was preceded in death by her mother Juanita Booker Greene, Grandmother Charles Etta Holmes, Father Charlie Jones, Aunt Dorothy B. Holland, and Sister Gayle Lynn Booker Jones.
She leaves to cherish her memories: a life partner Stassonia L. Hudson; one loving son Anterrion D. Hudson; two beautiful daughters Tykesha L. Hudson and Juanita L.(Roderick) Hudson (Bessemer, Al); two sister’s Billie Jean Lawson (Bessemer, AL) Marva Waters (Birmingham, AL); Two grandsons, Anterrion D. Hudson Jr and JaCeon L.T. Hudson(Bessemer,AL); Two granddaughters Tiaomi Roller(Cleveland, Ohio) and Teighen Rose Lee; one great granddaughter Ava Perry (Cleveland, Ohio); nieces Shenell Hudson and Stephanie Washington; nephews Sean L. Hudson and Perdarian D. Booker; goddaughter Jasmine W. Peterson; two special friends Debra Johnson and Gail Hines; a host of relatives and friends.
