Billie Jean Booker Lawson was born on October 20, 1950 to Arthur Taylor and the late Juanita LeNora Booker-Greene in Birmingham, AL.
Billie grew up in Bessemer, AL, where she was educated in the Bessemer City School System. She was a graduate of Jess-Lanier High School.
She was a loving person who always made sure that she told you that she loved you. She helped with and loved everyone’s children. Her smile and welcoming spirit will truly be missed,
She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. C. D. Patterson and asst Pastor Marvin Thompson.
She departed this life on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Birmingham East Nursing & Rehab in Birmingham, AL.
She was preceded in death by her mother Juanita Booker-Green, grandmother, who raised her, Charles Etta Holmes, her two sisters, Gayle Lynn Booker Jones, and Brenda Faye Booker.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her father; Arthur Taylor, her sister; Marva Booker Waters, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many loved ones. Her two special friends BG Evans and Phyllis Simon and a loving and devoted niece Stephanie Washington.
