Bartholomew Jones

Mr. Bartholomew D. Jones was born in Birmingham, Alabama to Ms. Edwina Jones on October 28, 1971. He attended the Bessemer City Schools and was employed at Piggly Wiggly Warehouse. Bart had a passion for sports, especially Alabama football. He confessed hope and accepted Christ becoming a member of New Bethlehem Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Emeritus William H. Walker. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Malinda Davis Jones.
He departed this life on December 23, 2023. Bart leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife, Malinda Davis Jones; his mother, Edwina Jones of Bessemer, AL; stepson, Richard Davis and Quenton Smith; two stepdaughters, Kimberly Williams and Markeita Robinson, all of Birmingham, AL; three aunts, Maggie Williams, Annette Jones; a special and favorite aunt whom he loved dearly, Barbara Jones Steele (Willie), all of Bessemer, AL; two uncles, Billy (Franchisca) Jones of Helena, AL and Alphonso Jones of Bessemer, AL; two great aunts, Stella James of Bessemer, AL and Dorothy Fuller of Hueytown, AL; one nephew, Antorius Rembert of Bessemer, AL; one niece, Brittney (Chris) Rembert of Fairfield, AL; seven sisters-in-law, Annie Jackson, Lena (Glover) Mayweather, Marie (Jerry) Mayweather, Mary (Derrick) Anderson, Mariah Hatcher, Lucinda Smith, all of Birmingham, AL, Julia (Eric) Edwards of California; four brothers-in-law, Charles Herod of Detroit, MI, Henry (Janie) Herod of Tuscaloosa, AL, Lee (James) Davis and Peter Davis of Birmingham, AL; two great nieces, four great nephews, host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
