He was born August 10, 1966 to James Marvin and Mary Alice Scales. He confessed Christ at an early age and joined First Baptist Church, Abernant, AL where he remained a faithful member until his death. He was preceded in death by: two brothers, Marvin Earl French, Charles French; son, Anthony Bernard Scales, Jr.; grandmothers, Annie Mae French and Ruby Mahan (Arthur); great grandmother, Willie L. Scales; two uncles, Teethus Moore and Freddie Smith. A lifetime of wonderful memories will be cherished by: loving mother, Mary Alice Scales, Abernat, AL; father, James Scales (Mildred), Arlington, TX; two sons, Dominic and Anthony Scales both of Baltimore, MD; two daughter, Erin Lofton, Parrish, AL and Makayla Mathis, Jasper, AL; a loving companion, Latasha Reese, Fairfield, AL; two special children, Aaliyah and Camiya Gadson, Fairfield, AL; one brother, Carlos Winkey, Baltimore, MD; three aunts, Terri Marks, Rosemary French both of Cleveland, OH and Felicia Smith, Peterson, AL; four uncles, Laude Smith, Augusta, GA, Rodney Smith, Samuel Scales, Tuscaloosa, AL, David Scales (Lisa) Peterson, AL, and a host of other relatives and friends.
