Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In my Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. John 14: 1-3 On Sunday, April 3, 2016, God lovingly and sweetly whispered to His beautiful daughter, “Fear not Annette, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; You are mine. You have fought the good fight, you have finished the race, you have kept the faith. I am well pleased.” Annette fearlessly and graciously accepted God’s gentle hand as He called her home. Annette LeVert Jones was born to the late Paralee and Calvin LeVert, Sr. on January 12, 1936 in Woodward, Alabama. She was united in marriage to the late Willie G. Jones in 1957. Four loving children were born to this union. Lil’ Sister, as she was so lovingly known, loved God and called on the name of Jesus. She accepted Christ young in her age. She was a faithful life-long member and servant at First Baptist Church Woodward. She was a graduate of the Brighton High School Class of 1954 where she was a cheerleader. She dedicated twenty-two years of her life to Strowder’s Day Care Center having served as teacher and bus driver. Lil’ Sister devoted her life to her Lord, her family, her students and friends. She loved. She loved the Lord … always telling others how good He was! Never met a stranger – those who were blessed to know her, LOVED her! She was “so much” to so many. She was EVERBODY’S Lil’ Sister! She opened her heart AND her home. She filled you with unending laughter! She praised . Her hands were lifted in His name. Her soul was satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and her mouth praised Him with joyful lips! She served . Annette served her family and friends untiringly. She gave – from her heart. She gave what she had and sometimes what she didn’t have to give. She fed you. She clothed you. She prayed for you. Perhaps she may have had to “get with you” - in love! Her time for her loved ones was unlimited – especially on the phone! This Woman of God has touched so many lives.
