After obtaining her certification, Alicia followed in the footsteps of her mother in the medical field and was recently an employee of Pleasant Grove Nursing Home. Due to Alicia's nurturing bedside manner, she was hired as a private duty nurse for numerous clients. Later in life, she joined Mt. Canaan Full Gospel under the leadership of Pastor Willie B. O'Neal. As a faithful member, Alicia affectionately attended services and enjoyed the Pastor's sermons. In her spare time, Alicia found spiritual fulfillment reading scriptures in the Bible. Alicia was a fantastic cook with a true gift in the kitchen. Known for her delectable macaroni and cheese, Alicia's true style of "Southern Cooking" made her a force to be reckoned with. It was her fun spirit that made Alicia an avid card player who found time for a game of Spades, Bid Wiz, and of course, her favorite, Tunk. During Alicia's courageous health battle, her faith never wavered. Alicia's life peacefully came to an end on April 18, 2010. She was at her home with her devoted family by her side.
