Alice Mae (Houston) Britton, “Punkin”, was born on the 28 th day of February 1946 in Dallas County, Alabama. She transitioned to heaven on the 15 th day of January 2018 at the age of 71.
Alice was the third of six children, she was a graduate of Brighton High School and Bessemer Tech’s Nursing Program. Alice dedicated her career to helping others and worked in several departments of Cooper Green Hospital as a license practical nurse.
Alice had many hobbies…traveling, sewing, gardening, going to the casino, doting on her grandchildren, spending time visiting family and friends, painting and drawing which she was talented to the point where she was featured in an art gallery show.
Alice was proceeded in death by her loving mother and father, Otha Lee Tabb Houston and Tom Houston, Sr.
She leaves to carry on her legacy, two doting daughters, Phedra (Marcus) Lundy, Brandy M. Britton; three adoring grandchildren, Marcus III, Matthew and Maya; three loving brothers, Tom (Barbara) Houston, Frankie Houston and Marcus Houston; two sisters/best friends, Jestiner Bell and Doris Hasan; six affectionate nephews, Jeffery (Pamela) Bell, Keith Bell, Tarik (Melissa) Hasan, Torrance (Tasha) Bell, Michael Houston and Tauheed Hasan; three ardent nieces, Cheryl Hasan, LaDonna Houston and Sakeenah Hasan; a fond uncle Ulysses (Shirley) Tabb; a loving aunt Virginia Luca; a host of warm hearted cousins and many devoted friends.
