Alene Jenkins Johnson, born October 5, 1942, to the late Philip and Reatha Williams in Bessemer, Al. She confessed Christ at an early age at Mt. Olive Baptist Church but later continued her ministry at Mt. Hermon Missionary Baptist
Church, under the leadership of Dr. Rev. Elliott Evans Sr.
Alene graduated from Wenonah High School then continued her education at Lawson State Community College, where she gained her skills in Nursing. She went on to gain employment at Ruby Hill Nursing home until she retired to enjoy life with her family.
On Saturday January 13, she transitioned from her earthly mission. She was proceeded in death by her parents; her late husbands: Leon Jenkins and Abe Johnson Sr.; Son: Grady Jenkins Sr.; Grandson: Dante Hall Jr; Great-Granddaughter: Tommeria Williams; Brothers: Phillip Jr., Charles and Steve Williams, Sister-in-law: Annie Pearl Chestner and Step-daughter: Tonya Jackson.
She leaves to cherish her memories: Children: Bobby (Doris) Albileen, Tx; Kenneth (Benda); Sean (Akosua), Tiwanthia "Stacey" Whatley (Adrian) and Kimberly of Birmingham, Al.; Siblings: Jimmie (Wanda) Williams, Willie (Mary) Williams, Carolyn Winfield and Connie Williams of Birmingham, Al. and Jessie (Charlie) Crumady of Providence, R.I.; Daughter-in-law: Keishauna Jenkins; Sister-in-laws: Sharon Williams of Fairfield, Al and Gwendolyn Williams of McCalla, Al.; Significant Other: Mr. R. C. Rogers: 22 Grandchildren, 19 Great-Grandchildren; Step-Children; Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Nephews, Ex-Daughter-in-laws; Ex Brother-in-laws; Special Friend: Ms. Bobbi Moneyham; Cousins and a host of friends and others
