Mr. A.D. Adams, Sr. (Track) was born June 22, 1930 in Batesville, Mississippi to the late Mack and Luella Adams. He later moved to Bessemer, Alabama where he met and married Louise Cousins. He retired from Woodward Iron/Coppers Coke Plant after 41 years of service. He was loved and adored by many who called him daddy. He leaves to cherish his memories: A loving wife, Louise Adams; sons, A. D. Adams , Jr. (Vicki) and Vincent Jackson (Linda); daughters, Loretta Smith (Creighton), Delta Lewis, Diane Adams, Lou Ella Anderson (James), Areatha Adams, Penny Jackson, Yvonne Adams; Daughters Zenneda Nelson and Joyce Berry Preceded him in death; Sister, Mamie Frierson; Nephews, Aaron Luster (Ideatha) and Leroy Luster; Sister-in-law, Jessie Nelson; god-daughter, Lynnette Earl; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; a host of nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
